Job Description

  • Employment Term: Short-Term Contract (1–2 months) extendable if required

  • Reports To: Finance Manager
  • Location: Addis Ababa

Role Summary

We are seeking highly detail-oriented professionals with accounting knowledge and ERP experience (preferably SAP Business One) to assist our Finance team in backlog transaction recording and reconciliation. This is a short-term engagement aimed at ensuring all transactions for the previous and current fiscal year are fully captured in our ERP system, enabling the company to operate live and accurately on SAP Business One.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post financial transactions (purchases, payments, journal entries, etc.) into SAP Business One.
  • Assist in migrating and reconciling historical data from the legacy system (Peachtree) into SAP.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of entries against source documents.
  • Generate trial balances, ledgers, and supporting reports for reconciliation.
  • Work closely with the Finance and ERP teams to ensure timely posting

Contract Terms

  • Duration: 1–2 months (extendable if required).
  • Compensation: Competitive, based on experience.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, on-site from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

About You

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, IT or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience working with ERP systems (SAP Business One strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Hands-on experience in transaction posting, reconciliations, and financial data validation.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Immediate Availability to commit full-time for 1–2 months.
  • Previous experience in ERP implementation support or backlog transaction posting is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with both Finance and ERP team.
