Flipper International School PLC is seeking dedicated Teachers in English, Math, Computer Science, Statistics, and Music on a contract /permanent basis. This role involves delivering high-quality education to students in an office setting located in Addis Ababa. Teachers will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a positive learning environment. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and other assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.
• Facilitate classroom discussions that promote critical thinking and engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching strategies and share best practices.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic progress.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Manage classroom dynamics to create a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Prepare teaching materials and resources to support lesson objectives.

Required Skills:

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree /masters in the subject area
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGDT, B.Ed., Diploma in Education)
• Cambridge International Education training or certification (preferred)
• Demonstrate attention to detail in preparing lesson plans and evaluations.
• Effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Engage students with diverse instructional strategies and technology.
• Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
• Provide timely and clear instructions to facilitate student understanding.
• Respond promptly to student inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
• Evaluate and refine teaching practices based on student feedback and outcomes.
• Maintain an orderly and focused classroom environment.
