Duties and Responsibilities

• Sorts, classifies, lables and shelves essential drugs of the outlet
• Dispenses essential drugs according to prescriptions;
• Preserves drug stock of the outlet against deterioration;
• Keeps dispensed prescriptions documented and preserved;
• Weighs and measures drugs and fills bottles or other containers according to instructions of superior;
• Prepaes and affixes lables with instructions for administering the drugs;
• Keeps prescriptions and special drugs locked;
• Performs various clerical activities relating to drugs locked;
• Preserves temperature sensitivities drugs in a refrigerator and regulary takes temperature measures of the same;
• Advises the users on how to take or apply the drugs;
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities of the job as assigned by the pharmacy Head.

• Degree/ College Diploma as a Pharmacist / Druggist or TVET diploma in pharmacy Technology and 0/2 year
• Certificate as a Nurse/ Health Assistant and 2 years work experience in drug dispensing.
