Purpose of the job

LogAlto is the M & E data management platform that SNV uses globally for its projects. It is an inclusive system where data collection, results (data) management, and analytics are managed from a single platform. All SNV’s projects, including Horti-LIFE III, are expected to use LogAlto for their M & E data management. While this mission is mainly handled by MEAL unit of the project, further support is needed to assist on the routine activities during the establishment of the platform. Accordingly, Horti-LIFE III project would like to hire TWO experienced interns, for TWO MONTHS period. These LogAlto Data Management Platform interns work mainly on the uploading of project data tracking formats, data entry, and related clerical activities.

Planning:

  • Ensure all the data tracking templates align with the formats at Log Alto.
  • Plan the series of Log Alto operations: from format creation to uploading on the platform.

Implementation:

  • Closely works & communicates with national MEAL Advisor and regional MEAL Advisors to get updates on the required data.
  • Checks data quality and informs the MEAL Advisors in case of any discrepancy.
  • Ensures that the different functions of Log Alto are designed with Horti-LIFE III’s context.

Financial & Administrative Management:

  • Communicate with the projects Logistics & Operations Intern on the financial, administrative & procurement issues that are applicable—when required.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting:

  • Give weekly updates, to the PM & MEAL Advisor, on the progress of activities.
  • Ensure all the data received from regions are organized & shared on SharePoint.

Networking, Learning & Representation

  • Communicates with all MEAL Advisors, both at national & regional levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT and Computer Science related fields.

Experience:

  • Relevant technical experience of 1-3 years
  • Having a practical experience working with one or more of digital data management platforms has an added advantage.

Additional Skill:

  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent skills of Computer packages, mainly excel.
  • With precise insights, attention to the details and persevering to intricacies.

Duty Station:  Addis Ababa

Contract Duration: Two Months with the possibility of extension.
