Data Center attendant (Night & Week end Shifts)

• Responsible for monitoring and overseeing the VisionFund MFI Data Center operations during nighttime hours and weekends,
• ensuring uninterrupted 24/7 functionality, Perform hardware, electricity & Network installation and maintenance activities
• Regular inspection and basic maintenance of generators.
• Manual switching between power sources in case of automatic power system failures during outages.
• Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and electrical systems at Head office and Branches
• Promptly reporting any irregularities or incidents to the appropriate technical teams.
• Ensuring physical security and environmental stability within the data center during assigned hours.
• Monitoring and maintaining electrical systems
• Addressing any power outages, surges, or malfunctions that occur
• Coordinating with daytime staff to ensure any issues are resolved or handed over efficiently
• Regular testing of backup power systems such as generators
• Conducting preventive maintenance to mitigate future electrical issues
• Engage in Data Center preventive maintenance together with Infrastructure team
• Perform hardware maintenance (computers, Printer, Scanners, UPS)
• Perform simple maintenance activities at the Data Center as assigned

EDUCATION/TRAINING

• B.Sc. degree in Electrical and computer engineering, electromechanical or related fields.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years’ experience related to the job

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

• Familiarity with Maintenance of IT Equipment
• Familiarity with inspection & maintenance of electric power devices such as Generators, UPS, etc.
• Willing to work during the day time as assigned
• Ability to interact and deal with people;
