Position Title: Counseling Program Coordinator

Reporting to: Senior Counseling Program Coordinator. This position also maintains functional reporting lines to the Director of Spiritual Integration

Employment Type: Full-Time(One Year With Possibility of Extension)

Frequency of Travel: Travel up to 30% will be required to oversee program activities.

Location:                        Hawassa, Hope Walks Hub

Position Overview:

Support the overall functioning of the assigned country Clubfoot Program to help eliminate clubfoot as an adult disability and to fulfill the mission of Hope Walks. Maintain a strong focus on implementing the spiritual ministry model effectively, including mentoring Parent Advisors in their roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide active support and continuous monitoring of clinic operations across four regions: Sidama, Central Ethiopia, South Ethiopia, and Oromia (South)
• Manage activities related to the spiritual ministry of the national clubfoot program within the approved annual budget and strategic operational plan.
• Conduct regular planning and program reviews with the Program Manager and, as needed, in cooperation with the RPO, Counseling.
• Provide regular spiritual ministry reports to the Program Manager, RPO, Counseling, and other identified partners within agreed timelines and formats.
• Facilitate ongoing training, workshops, and seminars for Parent Advisors.
• Provide support, mentoring, and encouragement to each clinic counselor.
• Monitor reports from clinic coordinators and Parent Advisors; address issues or concerns promptly.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant evangelical organizations to ensure local ownership and commitment to the program.
• Collaborate closely with the Program Manager and RPO, Counseling, to ensure alignment of activities.
• Liaise at least monthly with each clinic counselor to assess the parent counseling program and assist with challenges, escalating to the Program Manager and RPO, Counseling, as needed.
• Create and educate networks for: Sensitization, awareness raising, early detection, and patient referral Supporting patient treatment, follow-up, and compliance
• Prepare case stories for donors and stakeholders.
• Facilitate Parent Advisor access to relevant faith-based literature, books, and Bibles.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and reporting by Parent Advisors; prepare and submit required data and narrative reports.
• Advise the Program Manager on counseling program quarterly budget needs for inclusion in spending requests.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: MA or BA in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in social work, counseling, or a similar role, with prior supervisory or management experience.
• Languages: Fluency in English and one predominant regional language.
