Consultant for GHSC-PSM Closeout Event

Job Description

Chemonics International seeks experienced professionals for the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. GHSC-PSM in Ethiopia will serve as vehicle through which USAID will procure and furnish health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve the country’s management of health supply chain and pharmacy service activities, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global and local health initiatives.

The Closeout Event Consultant is responsible for providing overall strategic direction and leadership for the GHSC-PSM project closeout event in Ethiopia scheduled to take place in March 2024. He/she will be the main focal point both internally and externally on matters related to the design, planning, and execution of the event.

About You

Qualifications:

Advanced degree in health, supply chain, project management, or a related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree in the same field or a related field is required.
Minimum 10 years of work experience, preferably with USAID-funded programs and in public health and/or supply chain management.
Experience in leading or participating in project closeout events
Experience as master of ceremony during project launching or closeout events
Experience working in complex environments with limited resources.
Skilled in leading and managing teams to generate high quality results.
Strong relationships with government counterparts preferred.
Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
Fluency in English required.

Level of Effort and Location

This position will be based out of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Possible start date will be February 15, 2025.
The position will be 20-40 hours per week through March 31, 2025.
