Call for Expression of Interest

The Ethiopian Women with Disabilities National Association (EWDNA), under the broader initiative to enhance political participation of women with disabilities, is seeking qualified consultant to design and develop inclusive and accessible IEC materials for women with disabilities and political parties. These materials will promote awareness of disability rights and support inclusive political engagement. The activity is part of “the disability inclusive women’s political participation in Ethiopia’ project funded by Demo Finland and implement in Addis Ababa, Oromia and Benishangul.

The objective of this is to design, prepare, and produce inclusive and accessible Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials in different formats visual, audio, Braille, and sign language, with a specific focus:

• To promote the political participation of women with disabilities.
• To raise awareness on political inclusion among political parties and other stakeholders on disability-inclusive practices.

The assignment is expected to be completed within 20 consecutive days from the date of signing the contract agreement. The consultant is required to design materials in multiple accessible formats including Visuals (leaflets with 5 pages in English targeted pollical parties on political inclusions, and booklet with 7-10 pages in Amharic and other local language), as well as Audio recording, Braile, and sign languages for women with disabilities on their political rights.

Eligibility: applicants are expected to have proven licensed expertise in disability inclusion, accessible communication and IEC material development and experiences working with women with disabilities or ODPs with excellent knowledge of writing, design and production skills in different accessible formats, academic background in human rights/disability right, law, political science or other related social sciences.

Application requirements: technical and financial proposal with a maximum of 4 pages, updated CVs of consultant/firm with license certificate.
