Consultancy Service to Provide Facilitation of Workshops and Documentation of an Intervention Strategy

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Deadline: April 3, 2025

Job Description

SNV Ethiopia is developing the Seas of Change (SoC) Intervention Strategy to create a cohesive and integrated approach linking Regenerative Agriculture (RA) with the Productive Use of Energy (PUE). This strategy aims to build sustainable food and energy systems by fostering synergies between agriculture and renewable energy practices. It considers the role of energy access in enhancing agricultural productivity while ensuring regenerative practices contribute to ecosystem restoration and climate resilience, leading to long-term sustainability and development.

The intention is to assume an innovative hybrid implementation model, leveraging existing initiatives, expertise, and networks rather than building systems from scratch. SNV will engage key stakeholders, including technology providers, policymakers, private sector actors, and development partners, to facilitate collaboration and drive systemic change. This partnership-driven approach aims to maximize impact and ensure sustainable outcomes beyond the project’s lifecycle.

SNV plans to hold two workshops (Moon Shot Visioning and Validation) to develop an intervention strategy. Hence SNV seeks an experienced facilitator to guide discussions, document outcomes, and write up the strategy document.

About You

  • Workshop Facilitation & Co-Creation Expertise: Ability to lead engaging, interactive, and unconventional workshops.
  • Strong Background in Energy-Agriculture Nexus: Deep understanding of PURE, RA, and market-based solutions.
  • Strategic Writing & Analytical Thinking: Experience in developing strategy documents for development programs.
  • Experience with Systems Thinking: Familiarity with nexus approaches and stakeholder ecosystems.
  • Excellent Stakeholder Engagement Skills: Ability to work with government, private sector, and development partners.
