Job Description

Component Manager – Private Sector Development

Duty station-Addis Ababa

Contract duration-31/05/2028

Ethiopia is undergoing a major economic transformation — shifting from a state-led to a market-oriented system that empowers the private sector to drive growth, create jobs, and build resilience. To support this transition, GIZ’s Private Sector Development Programme (PSD-E) works hand in hand with government institutions, private enterprises, and innovative start-ups to strengthen competitiveness and foster inclusive, sustainable growth. The project takes a bottom-up approach, addressing concrete business challenges while supporting systemic reforms. Additionally, it strengthens the competitiveness and sustainability of local, transformation-oriented companies, start-ups in the growth phase and other MSMEs and improves the conditions for companies to access finance.

The Component Manager based in Addis Ababa will take over the general project management of this component and lead a team of technical experts based in Addis Ababa.

Be part of a transformative project that empowers local businesses and contributes to sustainable economic growth in Ethiopia.
