Duties and Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities will vary and depend on the individual’s background, including but not limited to:
• Assist in the design and dissemination of internal communications materials such as announcements, digital flyers, and intranet updates
• Support the promotion of events, trainings, and HR campaigns organized by HRMS
• Contribute to introducing new staff members through internal communication channels
• Help adapt and disseminate global HR messages for ECA staff
• Ensure alignment of communication materials with ECA HRMS branding guidelines
• Monitor staff engagement with communications and propose improvements
• Research and suggest creative approaches to improve internal communications
• Assist with content formatting, simple visual design, or media creation using available tools

Qualifications/special skills

(a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). In addition, education background in communication,graphic designing and content creation is desirable.

Languages

  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
  • Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
  • Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
