Job Description

Pride is a local Civil Society organization established in 1995 to empower disadvantaged individuals, families, and communities to eradicate absolute poverty through integrated development programs. Pro Pride has been undertaking various programs/projects, including HIV prevention, in different parts of the country.

Pro Pride is now in the process of recruiting employees for its Global Fund-supported Project, which intends to expand access to comprehensive HIV Prevention and Care Services for Key and Priority Populations in nine selected high-incidence Woredas/Towns of Oromia and the Central Region of Ethiopia.

The organization, thus, invites interested and competent Clinical Nurses to work in drop-in centers (DICs) to be established in the following towns.

Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse will deliver essential health services at the Drop-In Center (DIC), including clinical care, counseling, referrals, and health education. They will maintain high standards of professionalism and create a welcoming environment for all clients.

Oromia Region:

  • Ambo Community DIC
  • Bako Tibe Community DIC
  • Woliso Community DIC
  • Sululta Community DIC
  • Sebeta Community DIC
  • Holeta Community DIC
  • Buaryu Community DIC

Central Region:

  • Butajira Community DIC
  • Alaba Kulito Community DIC

About You

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a licensed/registered nurse with a valid certificate of practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in community-based or public health settings.
  • Knowledge of reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and experience with key populations such as youth, women, and PLHIV is advantageous.
