Cleaner Messengers (2 Positions)

Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) is a non-political, non-religious, and not-for-profit Ethiopian Civil Society Organization focused on sustainable wetland and natural resource management, as well as livelihoods improvement. EWNRA, with funding from NORAD through the Development Fund of Norway, is set to implement the project “Improving Rights, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Forest Management in Southwestern Ethiopia” in Gambela, Oromia, and the Southwest Ethiopia People’s Regional States. EWNRA is seeking highly qualified candidates for the following position:

Number of Positions: Two (one for Mizan Area Coordination Office and one for Metu Area Coordination Office)

Duty Stations: Mizan-Aman Town (Bench-Sheko Zone, Southwest Ethiopia Peoples’ Regional State) and Metu Town (Iluababor Zone, Oromia Regional State)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of the Project administrative and Finance officer, the cleaners will be responsible for:
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of office premises, including floors, furniture, and restrooms.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling according to organizational procedures.
• Clean and sanitize office equipment, and other common areas surround the project offices
• Monitor and report the need for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Support the office team with basic errands and upkeep tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum completion of Grade 10/12

Experience:

• At least five years of cleaning experience, preferably with NGOs or donor-funded projects. Prior NGO experience is an advantage.

Required Skills

• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling according to organizational procedures.

Salary: As per EWNRA’s salary scale.

Terms of Employment: 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension for up to two years, based on performance.
