CLEANER (Guest house) – Coordination

Job Description

Main purpose of the Position

Execute, according to hygienic standards, housekeeping, cleaning, and tiding up activities to ensure public and staff in private areas are in good condition.

Accountabilities

Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, restrooms, and other rooms in MSF houses.
Do the laundry iron clothes and other housekeeping activities.
Support the cook (washing up, cleaning the kitchen, etc.).
Sweep and mop the floors.
Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as required.
Upon arrival, prepare hot water for tea/coffee and refill drinking water.
Check that the restrooms are well stocked with paper, soap…
Check that the water supply (kitchen, showers, etc.) is sufficient during water cuts.
Keep premises properly locked (doors, windows).

MSF Section/Context-Specific Accountabilities

Assure general cleanliness and hygiene of the entire Guest House facility according to MSF standards daily including bathrooms, Kitchen, bedrooms, and common areas.
Ensure changing of bed sheets and towels on a timely basis.
Washing clothes in a responsible manner such that bleaching and mixing colour clothes should be taken care.
Look after all equipment provided.
Ensure that line manager is informed of any problems that might be linked to housing as well as problematic equipment or material. (ex. Broken, missing).
Keep an inventory of guest house and /or workplace equipment and report items missing or needing repair to supervising line manager timely.
Ensure that no material is taken out of the guest house or workplace without prior authorization.
Ensure together with supervising line manager that all supplies needed in the workplace are correctly and timely restocked.
Perform other tasks or activities assigned by the supervisor.

About You

Education	Essential at least Grade 10 and above.
Experience	Essential previous proven 2 Years professional experience Desirable proven professional experience as cleaner within the Hospitality Industry or Internation Households
Other Requirements	Essential knowledge of the local language. Essential English language at basic written and oral. Essential Transversal Competencies: Commitment to MSF’s principles Behavioral Flexibility Stress Management Teamwork & Cooperation Service Orientation
