Nexus Ethiopia is a national non-governmental and non-profit making humanitarian organization registered as Ethiopian National NGO as per the CSO’s proclamation 1113/19 with registration number of 6225. Nexus Ethiopia is mandated to operate in all regional states and city administration in Ethiopia.

Nexus Ethiopia is engaged in the triple/HDP Nexus Pillars Namely Humanitarian, Development and Peace Building. Moreover, Nexus Ethiopia works on strengthening the partnership, capacity and coordination of national NGOs in Ethiopia to create a strong platform as part of the efforts towards localization of aid. Under the three HDP pillars, Nexus Ethiopia is engaged on Health, Nutrition, Education, Protection, WASH, ES/NFI, Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), peace building and Agriculture & food security.

Nexus Ethiopia will implement a project in Benishangul Gumuz Region, selected woredas in Metekel and Kamashi Zones and invites qualified candidates to apply for the following vacant posts.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Plan and lead the implementation of the project activities
  • Collaborate with key actors on the IDP response and identify the key needs on each sector to improve the living conditions of the beneficiaries in IDP sites
  • Conduct periodic review meeting and monitoring
  • Compile monitoring reports
  • Actively participate and engaged in the sub national ICCG coordination meetings
  • Update progress reports to the CCCM cluster at regional, zonal and Woreda level
  • Develop periodic reports to the donor and government signatories and share with the Head Office
  • Engage in seasonal assessments and other multi agency assessments representing Nexus Ethiopia
  • Conduct woreda level rapid assessment as needed
  • Maintain staff team work
  • Manage the project resources and ensure wise use of the resources effectively
  • Capacitate key stakeholders on CCCM
  • Ensure Active, community based and reliable compliant feedback mechanisms

  • Excellent communication skills-verbal and written. Communication in English is a key requirement. Knowledge of local language is preferable.

Job Requirements

Qualification:

  • Degree in Management, Public Administration, engineering, environmental health, Public Health, Economics, and related field with five-year professional experience in NGO sector and at least two years’ experience on management of CCCM Projects.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, local language is an asset.
  • Working experience in Benishangul Gumuz region and knowledge of local context is an advantage
