Level 3:  The responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people.

ROLE PURPOSE: 

Under the direct supervision of the Child Protection Officer, the case worker coordinates the implementation of the Child Protection program in the refugee camp. The Case Worker will spend the working day at the Child Friendly Spaces and will have some outreach activities in the camp, while following up cases in need of Psychosocial Support, family interventions and community-based activities. It is expected that the caseworker takes the lead in the overall CFS activities, including the Psycho-social work, case management and child-friendly activities / games and are there to supervise/ coach the volunteers and ensure that all activities are in line with Save the Children’s goals and policies. This means active participation and interaction in child-friendly activities together with the Children, as well as the volunteers and the rest of the staff. Shall follow up plans, administer, monitor and evaluate the activities being implemented by the Child Protection team in the CFC, in a manner consistent with SC US programming principle and the mission’s program focus and strategy.
