About Us:

Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization (FIDO) is an Ethiopian indigenous, Non-Governmental Organization established in 2002 by a group of volunteers in the Jimma zone of Oromia Regional State. Initially founded to combat the HIV/AIDS pandemic, FIDO has expanded its focus to include prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), care and support for orphan and vulnerable children (OVC), and various health projects such as malaria control and reproductive health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synergizes the team roles and responsibilities of the specific DIC and FIDO at large,
  • Pays maximum attention and effort in maximizing the HTS yield.
  • Provides standardized adherence counselling to chronic HIV care services,
  • Provides counselling on readiness for ART initiation,
  • Remind all VL eligible clients and facilitate at community level VL sample collection
  • Provide Posttest counseling and initiate for ART service
  • Assure the client on confidentiality of the counseling process
  • Provide information on condom including condom demonstration, promotion & provision
  • Identify health facilities in the specific town that can provide at risk population service and build relationship and feedback mechanism with them.Design tracing mechanism of ART clients lost from the service
  • Record all ART clients on the appointment calendar and Remind before the appointment date
  • Provide counseling according to the individual’s need. Consider risk behaviors can vary individual to individual and the way you approach will also vary accordingly.

About You

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

  • completed grade 10 or 12.

Experience:

  • minimum Grade 10 completed, 3 years’ experience on community facility service and well trained in adherence and counseling.
  • NGO experience is more advantageous in short listing
  • Age is not more than 30 years
  • Committed to address community

Skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills and team player with sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Fluency in Afan Oromo and Amharic in local language.
