Background: The Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) is a non-partisan, non-governmental national network established in 2003. Currently, NEWA has 50-member local associations and organizations working together for a strong advocacy voice for gender equality and women’s political, socio-economic, and legal advancement.
NEWA has a twofold goal:
NEWA is guided by its Five-Year Strategic Plan, and research and evidence-based advocacy is one of the overarching and strategic objectives. NEWA has made significant strides in addressing the gender gap across the nation and amplifying women’s voices in collaboration with both local and international partners.
NEWA, in partnership with the UN Trust Fund, is implementing a project titled “Improving Legal and Service Response to SGBV in Conflict-Affected Areas of Ethiopia.” The project aims to strengthen the implementation of legislation, policies, national action plans, service standards, and accountability mechanisms to prevent and respond effectively to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Ethiopia.
The project will be implemented at both national and regional levels, with a focus on Amhara, Tigray, and Benishangul-Gumuz regions.
As part of this initiative, NEWA seeks to engage a qualified consulting firm or company to conduct a baseline survey and two assessments to support evidence-based programming and improved service delivery.
Bidders must have a renewed trade/business certificate for the year 2018 E.C (2025.GC), VAT, TIN, and the renewed professional license certificate.
Interested applicants are expected to submit both technical and financial proposals along with the supportive documents in separate sealed envelopes.
Qualified consulting Company/firms with qualified women lead researchers encouraged to apply.
All applicants are required to submit their expression of interest (EOI), in hard copies or soft copies of both financial and technical proposals and relevant documents including renewed certificates and sample of previous related work within five [5] working days in person or through email at the following address
Duly completed bids must be in a sealed envelope addressed to NEWA marked by “Bidders Name, Address, Legal Stamps, and Signatures.” Bidders should submit their technical and financial documents in two different sealed envelopes to the address mentioned below.

Bids arriving after this date and -time will not be considered.
NB: Qualified consulting company/firm may apply for both the second and third assessments if the lead researcher is a woman and the company can manage both simultaneously.
