Organizational Background

Established in 1947, the Young Men’s Christian Association of Ethiopia (YMCA Ethiopia) is one of the oldest youth development organizations in Ethiopia. YMCA Ethiopia is affiliated with the World Alliance of YMCAs and the African Alliance of YMCAs. It has been re-registered by Authority for Civil Society Organizations with a registration number 0511. The core objective of the organization is ensuring the wellbeing of the community and children in general and the youth population in particular through body, mind and spiritual development. YMCA Ethiopia operates in Addis Ababa and five (5) regions (Amhara, Oromia, SNNPR, Tigray, and Sidama) through ten (10) branch offices, collaborating with various governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.

Project Objectives

The above alignment requires competent bidder to help YMCA Ethiopia:

• Achieve full IPSAS compliance in financial reporting
• Enhance financial transparency and accountability
• Build staff capacity in public sector accounting standards
• Conduct comprehensive asset valuation across all branch office

1. Scope of Services Required

• YMCA Ethiopia will provide a venue for the training.

Submission Requirements

Prospective consultants must submit:

• The technical proposal must include:
• Valid business licenses and company registration documents (Including Asset Valuation Certificate)
• Detailed company profile highlighting relevant experience (based on the TOR)
• Comprehensive methodology covering IPSAS transition, training approach, and asset valuation processes
• Work plan with clear milestones and realistic timeline
• IPSAS Training of Trainers (ToT) certification and professional credentials
• CVs and professional certifications (ACCA/CPA) of key personnel

Recommendation letters (as per ToR)

All documents should demonstrate the bidder’s capacity to successfully execute the project.

• Itemized cost breakdown for all services.
