Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Art Teacher to deliver engaging and effective Art instruction to primary school students, fostering their academic growth, creativity, and confidence. The teacher will play a key role in shaping young minds and contributing to the school’s mission of excellence and inclusion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Development
- Design and deliver engaging lessons in visual arts
- Develop curriculum aligned with national standards
- Integrate theory and practice across disciplines
- Prepare students for performances, exhibitions, and competitions
Student Engagement & Assessment
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and self-expression
- Assess student progress through projects, performances, and portfolios
- Provide constructive feedback and support individual growth
Extracurricular & Events
- Organize school art shows, and cultural events
- Maintain props, costumes, instruments, and art supplies
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with other teachers to integrate arts across subjects
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school initiatives

About You
Qualifications
- BA Degree in major content taught or Diploma in Performing & Visual Art.
- 4 years of relevant teaching experience for BA holders and 6 years for Diploma holders.
- PGDT (Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching) – mandatory
- Practical teaching experience in private schools is preferable.
- Understanding, knowledge and applied experience in active learning instructional classroom and placing equal opportunities of learning based on learner’s level of acquisition.
- Understanding and experience of digital technology supported teaching approaches.
- Experience in an instructional classroom, co-curricular activities and community development tasks.
