ASDEPO is a local Civil Society Organization that has been working in all Regions of Ethiopia towards ensuring the poorest and most vulnerable and those affected by humanitarian crises have access to the fundamental rights of life, including but not limited to adequate shelter, food and livelihoods, water and sanitation, nutrition, healthcare and education. ASDEPO implements a range of multi-sectorial development, resilience, recovery and humanitarian responses Programmes by being sensitive to cross-cutting issues.

Introduction:

The Admitter will be responsible in managing the admission process and providing support to individuals seeking refuge. They are responsible for assessing the eligibility of refugees, ensuring compliance with camp policies and procedures, and facilitating a smooth transition into the camp environment.

Key roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring the refugee situation including movements, analysis of caseload profile, and change in trends
  • Verify the food collector both at GFD and school
  • Undertake refugees’ registration processes, implement bio-data updates and clean-ups on regular basis
  • Assist  biometrician in  verification of refugees
  • Compile  daily food  distribution data and report for project coordinator
  • Inspect  the beneficiaries food collection attendant
  • Provide statistics and data analysis of food consumed as required.
  • Keeping appropriate records to enable the provision of written reports as requested

Job Requirements

Qualification:

  • Bachelors or Diploma (e.g., Computer science, IT, ICT and related).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and data management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year working experiences for BSc holders and minimum 3 years’ working experiences for Diploma holders in related fields.
  • NGO experience is required.
  • Willingness to travel frequently in the project areas and to work under challenging conditions.
  • Ability to work within a team structure or independently, flexible, and can cope with stressful workload
