Job Description

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT –Spare Part Officer

Duty Station: Gambella

Reports to: Field Coordinator

Number of positions: One

Salary and Benefit Packages: As Per the Organization Scale, Attractive

Start Date: Soon

Duration: 4 months with the possibility of extension

Overall purpose of the role:

Ensure spare parts availability as per customer requirements and provide timely parts distribution for the operation when required. Adhere to the spare parts management policy. Ensure return spare parts are separately recorded and kept.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Ensure smooth operations of spare parts inventory, including stock management and order processing.
  • Coordinate with workshop teams and customers to meet spare parts requirements efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase requests to replenish stock.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on inventory status, consumption trends, and forecasts.
  • Maintain effective communication with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with spare parts inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Support the implementation of quality control measures for inventory management.
  • Work closely with the field team to reconcile inventory records and ensure accurate billing.
  • Stay updated on the latest spare parts trends and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

About You

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in spare parts/NFIs management or a related role.
  • Knowledge of automotive spare parts and inventory management systems is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Field experience is a plus.
