Invitation to Bid for Security Guard Services

Floresta Ethiopia, a non-governmental organization based in Bahir Dar and a partner of Plant With Purpose, invites qualified and experienced security guard service providers to submit proposals for outsourcing security guard services for its Bahir Dar and Andabet offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the security of premises and property.
• Control access points and allow only authorized individuals to enter.
• Operate access gates for both pedestrians and vehicles.
• Monitor and prevent unauthorized removal of goods.
• Respond to security incidents.
• Maintain professionalism and teamwork.
• Perform any other security-related duties as assigned.

Scope of Work:

• Bahirdar Program Head Office: 1 security guard (24/7 shift).
• Andabet Field Office (South Gonder, Andabet District): 1 security guard (24/7 shift).

Contract Details:

• Duration: One year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability
• Number of Guards required: 2 (One for Bahir Dar & One for Andabet office).

Security Company Responsibilities:

• Adhere to TOR collection and submission deadlines.
• Participate ethically in the bid opening process.

Employee Benefits (One Year):

• The security company must provide each guard with standard benefits, including uniforms and necessary equipment.

Proposal Submission Requirements:

• Submit a sealed financial proposal (one original and one copy) in separate envelopes marked as “ORIGINAL” and “COPY”.
• Include copies of a renewed license, VAT registration certificate, organizational structure, recommendation letters, and other relevant documents.
• A bid security (CPO) of 1% of the total one-year bid amount must be attached.

Security Guard Qualifications & Compensation:

• Minimum of three years of experience in security services.
• Completed at least 10th grade and have a security clearance letter.
• Age range: 25-45 years.
• Minimum net salary per security guard: 6,500 birr per month.
