Pharo Diagnostic and Clinical Services (PDCS) is at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare delivery, and we are currently seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our medical imaging team in Assosa. In this crucial role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring both high-quality results and the utmost care for patients.
Job Summary:
The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, Ultrasound, CT scans, and MRIs. You will ensure patient comfort and safety while obtaining high-quality images. Working closely with our radiologists, you will contribute to accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform X-rays, Ultrasounds, CT scans, MRIs, and other diagnostic imaging procedures according to clinical protocols.
- Patient Preparation: Ensure that patients are correctly positioned for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions to ensure comfort and accurate results.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain radiologic equipment to ensure high-quality images and patient safety.
- Collaboration with Radiologists: Work closely with radiologists to ensure imaging quality and provide assistance as needed to support diagnostic goals.
- Safety & Infection Control: Adhere to established safety protocols and infection control measures to protect patients and staff.
- Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, accurate records of imaging procedures and patient results to ensure proper documentation and follow-up care.
- Equipment Maintenance & Safety: Serve as the primary point of contact for all imaging equipment, overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring that all machines are in optimal working condition.
- Radiation Safety: Implement radiation protection measures, including proper shielding and patient safety techniques, to minimize exposure to both patients and staff.
- Training & Mentorship: Assist in the training and development of junior radiology staff and interns, ensuring the team maintains a high standard of practice.
- Compliance with Regulatory Standards: Ensure that all imaging practices comply with local and international healthcare regulations, safety standards, and institutional policies.
- Data Management: Manage and store imaging data using radiology information systems (RIS) or electronic health records (EHR), ensuring easy access for follow-up and reporting.

About You
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or a related field.
- Certification: Current certification from a recognized radiologic technology board (e.g., ARRT).
- Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and meticulous attention to detail in performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures and provide a positive, caring patient experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in a radiologic technology setting is preferred, particularly in performing a variety of imaging procedures.
