About HRF Business Wing
The Hailemariam & Roman Foundation (HRF) Business Wing was established to generate sustainable income in support of the Foundation’s social development and humanitarian programs. Based in Wolayitta Zone, Bele, the Business Wing operates as a professional and accountable entity, ensuring financial stability and contributing to HRF’s wider mission.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective financial management, accountability, and compliance with Ethiopian laws and HRF Business Wing’s policies. Duties include:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports that reflect the true financial position of HRF Business Wing.
- Declare VAT and other tax-related reports to the relevant authorities on a timely basis.
- Manage payroll preparation and ensure all statutory deductions are accurately processed and remitted.
- Manage petty cash transactions and maintain a daily cash book.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorized, documented, and filed.
- Prepare payment vouchers, deposit vouchers, cheques, and related financial forms.
- Reconcile physical cash with records and submit periodic financial reports.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for finance and administrative documentation.
- Coordinate with the bank for deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliation.
- Handle advance settlements and expense reports.
- Ensure timely collection and documentation of financial data from business activities.
- Assist in stock and asset management and maintain updated inventory registers.
- Monitor the use of supplies and ensure accountability for distributed materials.
- Provide logistical and financial support for business operations, distributions, and outreach programs.
- Liaise with staff, government partners, and community leaders on finance and logistics-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations, tax laws, and HRF Business Wing’s internal policies.
About You
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in finance, preferably in the private sector or business enterprises.
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations, including VAT, withholding, and payroll taxes.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to prepare financial reports and communicate complex information clearly.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate the assigned Isuzu vehicle for HRF Business Wing activities.
- Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of the vehicle, reporting any faults or damages.
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and daily records of vehicle usage.
- Transport staff, supplies, and materials between project sites, office, and other locations as required.
- Comply with traffic laws and HRF safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials when needed.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Support field operations and logistics activities as required.
About You
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Ethiopian driving license suitable for Isuzu vehicles.
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience, preferably in a professional or organizational setting.
- Knowledge of local roads, routes, and transportation regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and in field conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, issue, and track all supplies, materials, and equipment using standard documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock registers regularly.
- Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with records.
- Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage, loss, or expiry.
- Prepare reports on stock usage, shortages, and excesses.
- Coordinate with finance and procurement teams regarding supplies and replenishment.
- Monitor the use of materials in field activities and ensure accountability.
- Ensure compliance with HRF policies and procedures regarding stock and warehouse management.
- Support logistics and distribution activities for HRF Business Wing projects.
- Liaise with field staff and project coordinators to ensure timely availability of materials.
About You
