Job Description
The Manager, Human Resources Operation Division will support the successful implementation of Vision Fund Micro-Finance Institutions strategy by leading the efficient implementation and delivery of HR programs, and transactional HR services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement the training and development strategy, policies, and programs.
- Promote the usage of self-service by redirecting employees to self-service providing options (e.g., Web forms, Portal, when these are available).
- Build the leadership capabilities required to lead the Company’s transformation and become a business partner by providing effective talent advice.
- Implement the performance and succession management program and tools.
- Design and deliver learning & talent development programs.
- Escalates most complex queries and non-standard service requests to talent excellence in a timely manner.
- Have responsibility for implementing key process changes in partnership with the Manager Talent Excellence and Business Partnership unit.
- Develop course outline and content, objective and coordinate with external professional trainers on preparation of training activities.
- Ensure the effectiveness of training on productivity, behavioral, and organizational change by conducting post-training impact assessments.
- Manage training to enable employee development, unit and organization succession planning and future people skill requirements.
- Monitor compliance with HR programs
- Act as a first point of contact for the provision of employee and manager advice, guidance, and query resolution
- Significantly reduce the involvement of HR Excellence experts in administrative routines by completing administrative tasks and inquiries
- Focus on consistent service delivery and employee experience through the usage of a common set of tools
- Provide transactional processing to other HR and non-HR stakeholders
- Deliver day-to-day human resource activities, including; office administration, creation and maintenance of employee records, remuneration, benefits and pensions, market analysis, performance management, and specific aspects (primarily administrative) of the recruitment process
- Interfacing with other areas of the business to provide HR-related information and to ensure relevant HR management processes are completed, specifically payroll, performance management, and employee grading.
- Managing the employee experience
- Partnering with the business to align HR programs and processes to the business strategy
- Generic Duties of the Position:
- Develop and implement the Division’s plans and objectives.
- Develop, approve and monitor the Division’s budgets.
- Identify human resources requirements of the Division and develop plan for meeting the requirements.
- Develop, implement and review relevant divisional policies and procedures.
- Review, approve and submit Divisional reports to relevant organs.
- Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.
- Manage disciplinary concerns of the Division’s staff.
- Represent the Division in internal and external relationships.
- Participate in group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
About You
- Master’s degree in Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration or related fields with Six (6) years of demonstrated experience out of which two (2) years in a managerial position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Economics or related fields with Eight (8) years of demonstrated experience of which three (3) years in a managerial position.
