Associate, IMARA Platform Administrator
Location: Addis Ababa
Organization: Kifiya
Deadline: September 77, 2026
Job Description
Department: Market Solutions Practice — IMARA / Training Marketplace
About Kifiya:
Kifiya is an AI-powered financial and market infrastructure company advancing inclusive economic growth across Africa. We design and deploy risk decisioning systems, intelligent financial infrastructure, and market linkage platforms that unlock credit, insurance, payments, and capital access for MSMEs and smallholder farmers. We build the AI, data, and financial infrastructure that helps financial institutions serve hard-to-finance segments at scale.
Business Unit Description
The Market Solutions Practice (MSP) corrects structural market failures by leveraging four core infrastructures: intelligent data and decisioning, intelligent financial services, digital agriculture, and smart mobility. Through these platforms, MSP enables MSMEs, smallholder farmers, and low- to middle-income individuals to access finance, skills, and markets, driving job creation, social inclusion, and economic empowerment.
Position Summary
The Associate, IMARA Platform Administrator is responsible for the availability, configuration, and data integrity of IMARA, the MSME training marketplace connecting enterprises and youth to business development service providers and trainers. IMARA is an MSME training demand and supply platform that links service providers and trainings to MSMEs.
The role is deliberately narrow. It covers platform administration, provider and participant record management, training data capture and validation, and operational reporting for the IMARA platform only. Marketplace strategy, supply and demand balancing, provider accreditation decisions, and corrective action on provider performance sit with other MSP teams.
The postholder ensures that the marketplace runs as reliable infrastructure: providers, participants, assignments, and completion evidence are accurately recorded, correctly tagged for inclusion, and available on time as clean data for delivery tracking and MERL reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration and Availability
- Administer IMARA user access, roles and permissions, and account provisioning for BDSPs, trainers, and internal users; maintain active user lists and access controls.
- Monitor platform uptime, performance, and integration health; log, triage, and escalate incidents to Technology teams and track them to resolution.
- Maintain release notes, change logs, and user communications for platform updates affecting marketplace operations.
- Work with the Product Manager in Technology when platform adjustments or fixes are needed, and test changes before they go live.
Provider and Catalogue Configuration
- Maintain provider profiles on the platform: service categories, specialization, geographic coverage, language, accreditation status, and capacity data.
- Configure and maintain the training catalogue, course records, curricula versions, and eligibility rules as defined by the Curriculum and Delivery teams.
- Process provider onboarding and status changes on the platform once verification and accreditation decisions have been made by the responsible teams.
- Maintain the accuracy of provider records so that matching, assignment, and reporting operate on current data.
Data Capture, Quality and Validation
- Configure and maintain data fields, forms, and validation rules for accurate capture of participant registration, segment type, geography, assignment status, attendance, and completion evidence.
- Operate routine data-quality checks covering completeness, duplicates, inconsistent tags, and invalid values, and coordinate corrections with providers and internal teams.
- Verify that training completion records are supported by the required evidence before they are marked complete and released downstream.
- Ensure correct inclusion tagging of participants, including women, youth, internally displaced persons, and persons with disabilities, in line with agreed targets.
Workflow Enablement for Delivery Teams
- Operate platform workflows for demand intake, participant upload, deduplication, cohort creation, provider assignment, and post-training reporting.
- Track assignment acceptance, delivery status, and completion rates on the platform and flag stalled or overdue assignments to the Manager.
- Maintain standard operating procedures, job aids, and short guides for provider and internal users.
- Deliver refresher orientation on platform use to provider users where submission error rates indicate a capability gap.
Reporting and Decision Support
- Generate weekly and monthly operational reports and dashboards for the Manager and Senior Manager: utilization, fulfillment rates, completion rates, turnaround times, data error rates, and provider reliability.
- Provide cleaned datasets and structured extracts to MERL for disaggregated reporting by segment, provider, region, and inclusion group.
- Configure and maintain automated alerts for overdue assignments, missing completion evidence, and high-error provider submissions.
Security, Compliance and Audit Readiness
- Enforce data governance practices: access control, audit trails, versioning, and secure handling of sensitive participant data.
- Maintain data dictionaries, validation protocols, and provider submission requirements for audit and program quality assurance.
- Provide structured feedback to the Product Manager and engineering teams on usability and workflow gaps.
Key Outputs
- Stable and fully operational IMARA platform with minimal downtime and responsive issue resolution for providers, participants, and internal users.
- Accurate and current provider records, service catalogue, and capacity data on the platform.
- High-quality participant, assignment, and completion data with accurate inclusion tagging and verified completion evidence.
- Clean, validated datasets and operational dashboards supporting delivery tracking and MERL reporting.
- Validated training completion and readiness data released downstream on schedule and in agreed formats.
- Timely operational reports and alerts on data gaps, overdue assignments, and provider submission errors.
- Documented IMARA standard operating procedures, data dictionaries, and user guides enabling consistent use by providers and internal teams.
- Secure, auditable data environment with clear access controls, audit trails, and compliance with program QA and data-governance requirements.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, economics, development studies, or a related field.
- Four to five or more years of experience in platform administration, MIS or marketplace operations, data quality management, or program technology operations.
- Demonstrated experience administering a platform used by multiple external users or service providers.
- Strong practical data skills: validation logic, deduplication, structured extracts, and dashboard or reporting tools.
- Experience in MSME development, financial inclusion, skills training, or digital platforms is preferred.
