Job Description

Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a national CSO registered in Ethiopia. The organization has five major programs: Child Well-being and Education Development, Gender and Life Skill Development, Employable Skills Development, Advocacy, and Humanitarian Emergency Programs. DEC actively works in seven National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia, namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, South West Ethiopia, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit for the following positions: Consortium Coordinator, Finance Coordinator, Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and MEL Coordinator, SRHR and GBV Advisor, Programme Coordinator, Woreda Programme Supervisor, and Junior Finance Officer

Job Summary

Provides overall leadership and coordination of the consortium, ensuring effective project implementation, partner collaboration, donor compliance, reporting, and achievement of project objectives. Serves as the primary liaison with the donor and key stakeholders.

Specific Role and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing program outcomes: Ensuring that the program meets its objectives and positively impacts the community.
  • Managing consortium partnerships: Collaborating with various partners to ensure effective project implementation.
  • Ensuring gender-based violence (GBV) programming: Providing technical expertise and support in GBV programming.
  • Capacity building and advocacy: Supporting the development of local capacity and advocating for gender equality.
  • Networking: Building relationships with international and national institutions and development agencies.
  • Project staff support: Assisting project staff and consortium partners in achieving project targets

Educational Background and Experience

  • Master’s degree in project management, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field with 5 years of experience in project coordination and partnership management

Additional Skill

  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborations, ethical conduct, and the ability to work effectively at the community level are essential.
  • Communication, collaboration, teamwork, facilitation, and reporting skills are essential
