Job Description
BACKGROUND
SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia (SOS CVE) and its eleven other partners, through the Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA) emergency response project, is strengthening Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse (PSHEA), Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms (CFM) and Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) across targeted communities in Ethiopia.
As part of the consortium’s shared safeguarding commitments, SOS CVE intends to produce a short awareness video and audio package that promotes community awareness on PSHEA, safe reporting pathways, and Complaints and Feedback Mechanisms (CFM). The materials will support awareness raising, behavioral change communication, and accessibility of information among communities and stakeholders.
Objective of the Assignment
The objective of this assignment is to produce a high-quality, culturally appropriate awareness video and audio package that communicates key messages on PSHEA, safeguarding, and Complaints and Feedback Mechanisms (CFM) in accessible local languages.
Scope of Work
The selected consultant/service provider shall
- Develop a concise concept and script focusing on PSHEA, safeguarding, and CFM in close collaboration with SOS CVE PSHEA and CFM focal points as well as the digital communication’s coordinator
- Produce one awareness video of 7–10 minutes duration
- Translate and dub the video into
- Afaan Oromo
- Amharic
- Himtanigna/Agewigna
- Produce audio-only versions in all required languages
- Add subtitles to all language versions
- Ensure the content remains understandable in audio-only format
- Use culturally sensitive, survivor-centered, and community-friendly communication approaches
- Submit all final and editable production materials.

Expected Deliverables
The consultant/service provider shall provide
- Draft and finalized scripts
- One finalized awareness video (7–10 minutes)
- Dubbed video versions in Afaan Oromo, Amharic, and Himtanigna/Agewigna
- Subtitle versions for all languages
- Audio-only versions in all required languages
- Raw footage and editable files
- Final HD MP4 files ready for dissemination
Duration of Assignment
The assignment is expected to be completed within the agreed timeline upon signing of the contract
Ownership of Materials
All produced materials, including scripts, recordings, footage, edited files, and final products, shall remain the sole property of SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia. The consultant/service provider shall not reproduce or distribute the materials
Reporting and Coordination
The consultant/service provider will work closely with SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia and designated project focal persons throughout the assignment. All scripts and draft products shall be reviewed and approved before final production.
