Job Description
1. Introduction
Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) is an Ethiopian Development Organization established in 2005 and reregistered by the Agency for Civil Society Organizations as an Ethiopian Development Organization with a Certificate № 0321 under the Proclamation № 1113/2019. ECDD is working with other organizations to promote and facilitate the inclusion of persons with disabilities and disability issues in mainstream service delivery and development programs, envisioning an inclusive Ethiopia where persons with disabilities exercise their human rights and access mainstream services on an equal basis with others.
With the financial support of GIZ, ECDD has recently started a new Livelihood project titled “I-BPO: Upskilling and Employing Persons with Disabilities through an Inclusive BPO Ecosystem in Ethiopia.” This project aims to realize a functioning disability-inclusive BPO ecosystem to be modeled, where persons with disabilities are equipped with foundational skills, employers are committed to disability-inclusion, and national institutions are aligned to sustain and expand opportunities.
The Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) is implementing a project entitled “I-BPO: Upskilling and Employing Persons with Disabilities through a Business Process Outsourcing Ecosystem in Ethiopia,” which is aimed at enhancing the skills and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. As part of this initiative, a “Disability-Inclusive Training Lab” will be established in Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, Adama Science and technology University, Bahir Dar University, Hawassa University, and Arba Mincu University to provide computer based skills trainings for persons with disabilities, and get them employed in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Companies in Addis Ababa, Adama, Bahir Dar, Hawassa, and Arba Minch City Administrations and other areas of the country. The lab requires specialized equipment and accessible furniture to ensure full accessibility for trainees with visual, hearing, and physical impairments.
The Terms of Reference (ToR) is designed for the procurement of assistive devices, IT equipment, and accessible furniture to establish BPO training labs with assistive technologies in the University Disability Resource Centers and training centers to provide quality & inclusive training.

4. Bid Submission Instructions
Financial proposal should be submitted within 10 (ten) calendar days starting from this announcement in person sealed envelope delivered to ECDD office (Bekilobet- In-front of Global Hotel, 3rd floor of a new Building where Amara Bank found from the ground) Monday to Friday during working hours.
