Job Title: Account Manager
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Sales Manager / Head of Business Development

1. JOB PURPOSE

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts, building long-term client relationships, promoting United System Integrators PLC’s IT products and solutions, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. The role includes identifying new business opportunities, preparing proposals, coordinating technical teams, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions that meet client expectations.

2. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to understand business needs, challenges, and future requirements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and promptly resolve concerns or issues.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of each client’s industry and technology environment.

B. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Upsell and cross-sell IT solutions, hardware, software, and services offered by USI.
  • Develop customized proposals, quotations, and presentations based on client requirements.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Participate in RFP, RFQ, and tender preparation for government and enterprise clients.

C. Account Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare strategic account plans outlining client profiles, opportunities, risks, and growth strategies.
  • Track and manage pipeline opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Provide accurate revenue projections and updates to management.

D. Project Coordination & Delivery Support

  • Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions.
  • Ensure timely delivery and implementation of purchased products and services.
  • Coordinate post-sales support, maintenance, and warranty claims.
  • Follow up on project milestones and ensure client expectations are met.

E. Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Advise management on market opportunities and threats.
  • Contribute to product positioning and strategic planning based on market feedback.

About You

3. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

A. Education

  • BA/BSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

B. Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in IT sales, account management, or enterprise solutions sales.
  • Experience selling IT hardware, software solutions, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, or systems integration is highly preferred.

C. Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT systems: servers, storage, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise solutions.
  • Ability to prepare technical proposals and respond to bids.
  • Good understanding of the IT procurement process in Ethiopia.

D. Required Competencies

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong presentation and proposal development capabilities.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently.
