Position: GBV Case Management Officer

Duty Station East Wollega: Leka Dulecha Woreda & Kelem Wollega: Gawo Kebe Woreda

Siiqqee women’s Development Association (SWDA) is a non for profit Organization founded in 1997 with the strong conviction that poor women can control their livelihoods and their futures when assisted in their self-help efforts and ultimately empowered. Hence, SWDA’s vision which is “to see disadvantaged and marginalized women; girls and children in Ethiopia live with dignity and security” and desires to see reconciled, just and prosperous society where women have equal treatment with that of men.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • The GBV Case Officer will work to ensure improved quality of health and psychosocial support for survivors, support development of a functional referral networks that enhance survivors’ ability to receive confidential, safe, and timely services that meets their needs in a timely manner.

About You

Required qualification:

  • BA Degree in Sociology, Gender & Development Social work or any relevant Social Science field.
  • Good command of English for report writing Amharic and afan-Oromo for communication
  • Knowledge of Afan-Oromo is mandatory

Relevant work experience:

  • At least 5 years in relevant field of study out of which at least 2 years is NGO experience on similar position.
