Job Description
Mothers and Children Multi sectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) is a national Non-Governmental Organization registered in accordance with the proclamation for Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No 1113/2019 with a certificate No 0022. MCMDO is currently implementing 15 emergency response and development projects in all regions and City Administrations in Ethiopia. .
To meet its objectives MCMDO calls for competent professionals to apply for the following vacant position.

Job summary
A Grant and Compliance Officer ensure that grant-funded programs operate within donor guidelines, legal regulations, and organizational policies. They play a critical role in financial oversight, risk management, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Grant Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure adherence to donor rules, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor sub-grantee and contractor performance to ensure compliance with grant terms.
- Financial Oversight
- Track cost-sharing contributions and ensure timely disbursements.
- Policy and Procedure Enforcement
- Implement and enforce internal controls and compliance policies.
- Conduct periodic audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate grant documentation and ensure timely submission of reports to donors.
- Prepare compliance reports and support external audits.
- Training and Capacity Building
- Train program staff and partners on donor compliance requirements and internal procedures.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure understanding and adherence to grant conditions.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with program managers, finance teams, and external partners.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and donors on compliance matters.
About You
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 5 (Five) years, typically 3–5 years in grant management or compliance roles, preferably with donor-funded projects.
- Strong understanding of donor regulations and Ethiopian financial laws.
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
