Do you have experience in Engage communities and support local structures through discussions and assessments to address GBV and ensure gender-sensitive, inclusive approaches?
Do you have experience Monitor and document project progress to ensure the needs, priorities, safety, and dignity of women, men, girls, and boys are respected, while integrating gender and protection into MEAL plans with clear indicators?
Do you have experience Support the integration of gender and protection into programs, represent the organization in relevant meetings, and build partnerships with humanitarian actors to strengthen collaboration?

The Role:
The role supports the Senior Capacity Building Officer in planning, implementing, and monitoring GBV activities under the AICS-VERSO project in Shire, while strengthening community-based GBV and MHPSS initiatives in the area.

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.
An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the protection field with strong knowledge of human rights, humanitarian laws, and gender-based violence issues.
- Skilled in participatory assessments, report writing, capacity building, awareness raising, and community-based approaches.
- Experienced in working with displaced populations, diverse teams, and local stakeholders, with willingness to travel and work in challenging environments.
- Competent in basic computer applications and committed to Oxfam’s values, equality, and gender promotion.
