Position Overview
LionHeart Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Arts (ELA) Lead Teacher to join our growing academic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for teaching literacy, critical thinking, and communication, and will be committed to delivering high-quality instruction that inspires a lifelong appreciation for reading and writing.
The ELA Lead Teacher will play a key role in designing and implementing the curriculum, mentoring other teachers, and ensuring that all students meet and exceed grade-level expectations in English Language Arts. Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development and Delivery
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the Pearson Curriculum standards.
- Integrate literacy across subjects to promote deep understanding and interdisciplinary learning.
Instructional Excellence
- Teach English Language Arts with creativity, enthusiasm, and a student-centered approach.
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Encourage active participation, collaboration, and critical thinking in the classroom.
Student Support and Assessment
- Identify students needing additional literacy support and implement targeted interventions.
- Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and guide instruction.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and learning outcomes.
Collaboration and School Involvement
- Participate actively in school events, extracurricular programs, and community initiatives.
- Support experiential learning opportunities such as drama productions, reading fairs, and creative writing showcases.
- Contribute to staff meetings and professional learning communities.

About You
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in English Language Arts or Literacy.
- Familiarity with the Pearson Curriculum or other international education frameworks (preferred).
- Strong background in Project-Based Learning and Differentiated Instruction.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
