Position Overview

LionHeart Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Arts (ELA) Lead Teacher to join our growing academic team. The ELA Lead Teacher will play a key role in designing and implementing the curriculum, mentoring other teachers, and ensuring that all students meet and exceed grade-level expectations in English Language Arts. Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development and Delivery

  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the Pearson Curriculum standards.
  • Integrate literacy across subjects to promote deep understanding and interdisciplinary learning.

Instructional Excellence

  • Teach English Language Arts with creativity, enthusiasm, and a student-centered approach.
  • Employ a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Encourage active participation, collaboration, and critical thinking in the classroom.

Student Support and Assessment

  • Identify students needing additional literacy support and implement targeted interventions.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and guide instruction.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and learning outcomes.

Collaboration and School Involvement

  • Participate actively in school events, extracurricular programs, and community initiatives.
  • Support experiential learning opportunities such as drama productions, reading fairs, and creative writing showcases.
  • Contribute to staff meetings and professional learning communities.

About You

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in English Language Arts or Literacy.
  • Familiarity with the Pearson Curriculum or other international education frameworks (preferred).
  • Strong background in Project-Based Learning and Differentiated Instruction.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
