Purpose of the consultancy

To conduct a comprehensive review of a project implementation DFA’s project titled “Strengthening Active Citizenship for Social Change” supported by GIZ-CPS which is being implemented in Benishangul Gumuz Region, Assosa, focusing on capturing lessons learned, best practices, change stories, challenges faced, and organizational learning to improve future project design and implementation.

Scope of work

  • Review project achievements against objectives and indicators.
  • Document lessons learned, success stories, and challenges.
  • Analyze factors contributing to success or failure.
  • Provide actionable recommendations for future projects.
  • Prepare a concise, evidence-based lessons learned report.
  • Complete the tasks of this engagement within one month (20 November to 20 December 2025).

About You

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in project evaluation, review, or organizational learning within civil society, development, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in documenting lessons learned, best practices, and change stories.
  • Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with human rights, peacebuilding, and socio-economic development issues in Ethiopia, particularly knowledge of the Benishangul Gumuz Region context, is an advantage.
