Job overview
The Exterior Process Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the external areas of the LNG plant, including gas treatment, liquefaction and storage tanks. This role supports the facility’s operations by monitoring equipment, performing field inspections, and responding to process upsets or emergency conditions as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of field process equipment (pumps, compressors, separators, valves, heat exchangers, flare systems, etc.).
- Safely operate and monitor production and utility systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the startup and shutdown of equipment and systems, following precise operating procedures.
- Monitor process parameters (pressure, temperature, flow) and promptly report deviations or abnormalities to the Control Room Operator.
Requirements
Education
- – bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering or related fields
Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in plant, preferably in chemical production plant
- Strong understanding of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Knowledge of process safety and emergency response procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments, including hot weather.
- Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control System) operations and field instrumentation preferred.

The Instrument Operator is responsible for assisting in the operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems used in industrial processes. This includes field instrumentation such as transmitters, control valves, sensors, and analysers that monitor and regulate pressure, temperature, flow, and level in plant operations
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and perform routine checks on instrumentation equipment used in LNG production and processing.
- Assist in the calibration, testing, and adjustment of various types of field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical).
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation devices in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, control room operators, and maintenance personnel to identify and resolve instrumentation-related issues.
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical engineering or related fields.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience with instrumentation systems in industrial plants (preferably oil & gas, LNG, power, or chemicals).
