In Ethiopia, UN Women works in the thematic area of Women in Leadership and governance with the aim to contribute to the overall goal of increasing the effective participation and representation of women in leadership in Ethiopia. In 2019 UN Women in collaboration with Amhara BoWCSA and Bahir Dar University (BDU) supported the institutionalization of a Transformative Leadership for Gender Equality Training Program (TLGE) in Bahir Dar University based on a Bahir Dar University Senate endorsed Curriculum.
