Job Description
Purpose of the position:
To Plan, implement and monitor the Community Engagement and sponsorship Project (CESP) at the AP level by partnering with all sector project officers and other stakeholders and provide technical support, ensuring the integration of program with sponsorship business and compliance to World Vision’s sponsorship policies and standards in order to maintain the sustained relationship between children/families and communities and sponsor/donors so as achieve the child well-being.
Major Responsibilities:
· Conduct sanitation & hygiene activities in partnership with communities, local government and partners thereby they to achieve Universal WASH Coverage
· Organize & conduct hygiene promotional activities in the communities by using different campaigns, home to home education
· Closely follow up, monitor and manage the changes in the process to the triggered villages and ensure 100% open defecation free kebeles in the target woreda.
· Provide periodic monitoring, follow up & support for WASH business supplier & and communities/consumers to internalize, produce and utilize an improved WASH products & services
· Assist/ provide technical support for communities to organize themselves for WASH program design, implementation, monitoring and decision-making process
· Engage in the preparation, designing and contextualization of appropriate guidelines, training manuals and standards, educational materials and promotional tools for WASH activities
· Organize the community to ensure the sustainability of WASH facilities (water utility management/ improved sanitation facilities construction & utilizations, preparing hand washing facilities, etc )
· Prepare and submit weekly monthly, quarterly, biannually and annually progress reports
Organize success/best stories, so that they can be documented, prepared, shared and documented at least one per quarter
Job Requirements
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
Qualification required: BSc Degree in Environmental health science, health officers’ and related
Experience: 3 and above years of NGOs experience preferred with practical knowledge & skills
Preferred Knowledge
· CLTSH, Sanitation marketing/WASH business, Menstrual hygiene management/school WASH program & CASH/ health care WASH program,
· Basic/advanced level computer skills
· Excellent Communication skills in English & Knowledge of local language is advantageous.
