Job Description
- Guide cluster office in establishing frameworks and information systems for M &E of activities
- Managing monitoring and reviews of projects and programs in the as per signed program grant,
- Supporting M&E unit in making strategic decisions based on collected information and indicators;
- Developing knowledge and disseminating evidence based and knowledge EPI in interventions;
- Designing and implementing M&E guidelines, training manuals, and SOPs aligned to project;
- Collecting and analyzing strategic information, and use evidence-based data to make decisions;
- Monitoring and supervision of project field staff for delivery of high quality project activities;
- Supporting stakeholders- at regional, zonal and woreda levels in improving M&E systems;
- Improving the quality and effectiveness of immunization programs and services;
- Develop and implement a Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation Plan;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project activity reports in line with reporting standards;
- Collaborate with field staff; and respective woreda, zonal and regional health office team
- Other project related duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor;
- Commits to support all the efforts of the ODA to prevent and respond to SEA allegations: adhere to the ODAs code of conduct,
About You
Qualification:
- Frist degree (BSc or MD) in medicine, public health, health monitoring and evaluation, project management; with graduate degree (Masters) in public health, epidemiology; or related fields
- Additional training in immunization programs monitoring is an advantage
Work Experience:
- For first degree holders at least ten years; and for graduate /second degree holders eight -years of relevant experience with government; national or international organizations in planning, monitoring and evaluation in public health, expanded immunization, child health or related fields.
- Previous work in qualitative and quantitative methods, developing analytical reports; and conducting survey/field research; developing/preparing monitoring and evaluation guideline and strategic plan; and data management is preferred.
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Afaan Oromo, Amaharic and English, in spoken and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience analyzing and managing database
- Analytical written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in teamwork
