About Deborah Foundation
Established in 2019, Deborah Foundation is a registered non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of children with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities through support in the areas of Health, Education and Policy Advocacy
Summary:
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and executive support to a senior-level leader. This role is responsible for managing the executive’s calendar, coordinating meetings and travel, handling sensitive information, and serving as a trusted partner and gatekeeper. The Executive Assistant must have exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in Affan Oromo, Amharic, and English, to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the executive’s office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage scheduling for company executives
- Draft, review and send communications on behalf of company executives
- Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings
- Answer and respond to phone calls, communicate messages and information to the executive
- Prioritize emails and respond when necessary
- Coordinate travel arrangements
- Maintain various records and documents for company executive
- Perform other duties as assigned by the executives
Location: Deborah Foundation, Head Office, Bole behind Sur construction
About You
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an executive assistant or in a similar high-level administrative role
- Proven proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Affan Oromo, Amharic, and English
- Proven ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in all three languages
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using office productivity software, calendar management tools, and other administrative
technologies - Adaptable, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and a positive, professional demeanor
