Background:
New Millennium Women Empowerment Organization (NMWEO) is an indigenous, non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization working on development, women empowerment, Gende Equality, humanitarian responses, sexual reproductive health education, economic empowerment and Environmental protection interventions in the last over fifteen years.
NMWEO has been re-registered by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Societies Organization (ACSO) in accordance with Organizations for Civil societies Agency Proclamation No.113/2019 obtained certification with a registration No. 0539

Mission
Our mission is to empower Ethiopian women, girls, and youth in economic, political, and social dimensions, help them to unlock their potential in decision making through capacity building, advocacy, leadership development, and humanitarian intervention programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate, edit, publish, and share content periodically (original text, images and video)
- Build meaningful connections with stakeholders
- Dialog and messaging the work of the organization on available platforms
- Update and maintain organization’s website
- Introduce, NMWEO and share information of events by using telegram, social media, whatsapp, twitter and etc.
- Update profiles of the organization
- Proper documentation and data management of target groups including case stories and best practices,
- Manage all incoming and outgoing information and communication
- Prepare information/replies to the request from partners and stakeholders,
- Facilitate workshops meeting and trainings organized by NMWEO
- Provide training, as necessary, to other staff members in relevant aspects of data management with consultation of planning, policy and capacity building officer
- Establish networking and partnership with similar organization
- Check all area overviews and follow up the interview and documentation process
- Work closely with various stake holders groups including Planning, policy & capacity building and M&E officers with the aim at developing timely practical solutions
- Trucks local and world situations of the sector and delivers to the pertinent work units to satisfy their updated information needs and decision-making purpose;
- Develops and implements information technology performance measures;
- Provides technical support to field staff for identifying, documenting and communicating best practices and lessons learned stories including photography for the purpose of organizational learning and promotional materials.
- Prepare summary report of board & general assembly on quarterly and yearly based
- Perform other tasks and assignment needed by the organization.

About You
Job requirements:
- Bachelors in a relevant field such as communications, knowledge management, media, public relations, or journalism.
- Relevant professional certification
- Broad / specialized knowledge of methods, techniques and processes
Experience:
- A 2-5years’ experience in communications-related work.
Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of communications processes and technologies.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, web applications, and social media outlets required.
- Excellent English writing and editing skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and a variety of tasks.
