Background:
SOS Children’s Villages is the largest non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational charitable child welfare organization in the world. SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia is a member of SOS Children’s Villages International, which was founded by Hermann Gmeiner in 1949 in Imst, Austria to help children in need; children who have lost their homes, their security and their families because of the Second World War. SOS Children’s Village Addis Ababa is the third Village in Ethiopia next to Mekelle and Harar.
German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in collaboration with SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit – Hermann Gmeiner Fonds has funded a youth empowerment and employment project. SOS Children’s Villages is committed to ensuring that all children throughout the world have the quality care that is their right. In 1949, Hermann Gmeiner established the first SOS Children’s Village in Imist, Austria. Our organization was founded on the belief and recognition that the most vulnerable children need emotional and physical stability in a family and a community environment to develop to their potential.
SOS Children’s Village Ethiopia is currently implementing a project entitled “Sustainable Training for Employment Promotion (STEP) in Addis Ababa”. The project aims to strengthening & increased youth employment in decent conditions in Addis Ababa at Gulele &Yeka Sub Cities Selected operational woredas.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Business Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct coaching sessions twice a month (to review pre and post coaching services), offering personalized guidance to 900 MSEs to enhance their business strategies and achieve their goals under SOS CVE STEP project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify the business gap of the MSEs.
- Communicate with the project about the business status of the Coaches.
- Based on the identifying gap he / she jointly plans with the project officer to conduct the coaching.
- Provide onsite support to conduct two coaching sessions per two months with MSEs, focusing on their specific business challenges and objectives.
- Develop individualized coaching plans that align with MSEs’ needs and aspirations.
- Facilitate discussions that encourage SOS CVE’s MSEs participants engagement and accountability.
- Monitor SOS CVE’s MSEs participants progress and provide constructive feedback and resources.
- Adapt coaching techniques to suit diverse client backgrounds and industries.
- Stay informed on the latest business coaching trends and methodologies.
- Foster strong relationships with MSEs to promote retention and referrals.
- Compile and submit final report of the coaching to SOS CVE STEP project at the end of the coaching period.

- Complies with the rules and principles set out in the policies and regulations annexed to agreement made.
- Confirms that none of its employees, collaborators or associates are involved and/or have been involved in any way in violence, abuse, fraud, and corruption.
- Accepts proven material breach of any provision of the Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy, the Code of Conduct, Sexual Misconduct Regulation, Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption regulation shall automatically render agreement entered null and void and shall expose the perpetrator to legal action.
Ethical standard and Intelectual property
Ownership and copyright of all coaching service reports will be the sole and exclusive property of SOS Children Village in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa Program, STEP- Project and restricted for public use. The coacher will submit all coaching documents, materials and data to SOS Children Village in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa program. SOS CVE is a child focused Organization and will always uphold the safety and wellbeing of children and youths as it strives towards creating a better environment for children, youths, and their surrounding community. In ensuring this, SOS CVE will only consider those who are suitable to work with youths. The selected coacher will sign the code of conduct or child and youth safeguarding policy of SOS CVs before the commencement of the work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED.
- Proven experience as a Business Coach or in a similar coaching role.
- Strong understanding of business principles and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate MSEs effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on results.
- Coaching experience letter.
