Job description

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH looking for Consulting firm to conduct Implementation of Virtual facilitation trainings”

In the effort to promote continuous learning and adaptability for its staff members and partner organizations, the GIZ programme for “Cooperation with the African Union in the Area of Peace and Security” is planning to build up on the training on virtual facilitation implemented in June 2021 by offering additional online trainings on virtual facilitation. The trainings will be tailored to respond to the needs of professionals including high-level representatives of the African Union Commission, RECs/RMs, national border commission and the Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS). Staff from the GIZ projects will also participate in the training to enhance their understanding of how to support virtual activities of their partner institutions.

Period of assignment: December 01, 2021 to March 31, 2022 for up to 50 expert days.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/training : University qualification (German ‘Diplom’/Master) in IT, digital innovation, communications or similar fields

  • Language : Good business language skills in English and French
  • General professional experience : 10 years of professional experience in
    implementing and facilitating interactive trainings with a special focus on adult
    education (offline, hybrid and virtual)
  • Specific professional experience : 10 years in navigating common interactive
    tools and platforms
  • Regional experience: Proven experience in working with the African Union
  • Development Cooperation (DC) experience : 2 years of working experience in
    development cooperation
